Berkshire is a ceremonial county of south east England. It has also been known as the Royal County of Berkshire since at least the 19th century because of the presence of Windsor Castle. Berkshire borders Greater London to the East, Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire to the North, Wiltshire to the West, and Hampshire & Surrey to the South.
